How and when did you meet?
He was one of my bosses. We got on really well and it went on from there.
Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?
We went on a family holiday to Disney World Florida. One day we went to the magic kingdom and went to mickey mouse’s house. We were having our photo taken with mickey when neil went down on one knee asked me to marry him – then mickey gave me my ring! Everyone was crying!
Did you have hen and stag celebrations?
I went to a bar in London with my friends. They dressed me up in a t-shirt and veil and we all had too much to drink!
Did your groom help you with the wedding planning?
Neil stayed out of my way, but he did come and look at the hotel with me and he helped choose the cake.
Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?
Confetti helped me find my dress, and the items for the tables.

Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?
I visited the store.
Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it
I bought my dress from a dress sale last october at the Confetti store.
Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?
I had a maid of honor, two adult bridesmaids and a flowergirl.
Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?
Neil had his friend Carl as best man. My brother, the boyfriend of one of the bridesmaids, my friend’s son and one of his nephew’s were ushers.
Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?
We has a church wedding.
Where did you hold your ceremony?
St Nicholas Church, Harpenden.
Where did you hold your reception?
Hanover International Hotel Dunstable.
Did you have any special wedding transport?
We had a lovely old Rolls Royce Silver Dawn.
How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?
We had 50 guests to the church and 20 more in the evening.
Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?
The tables were ivory and burgundy.
How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?
Burgundy feathers, and ribbon.
Did you give your guests favours?
Everyone had a favour box with a red cut out heart, filled with red jelly hearts.
Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?
I had ten white roses with gypsophila and leaves around the outside. The girls had dark red roses surrounded by gypsophila.
What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?
We had chicken for the main course.
What did you choose for your wedding cake?
We had a three-tied cake in the shape of suitcases. The bottom tier was fruit cake, the middle was sponge, and the top was a dummy cake for us to keep.
Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?
We had a DJ in the evening.
Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?
Our list was held with The Gift Registry.
Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?
We spent the first night at the reception hotel. On the monday we went to Center parcs for five days. It was lovely to get away for a bit.
What was your most memorable moment of the day?
Seeing Neil standing in the church, and then seeing all our friends at the reception.
Did you experience any ‘nightmare’ moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?
