Erica and Richie Real Engagement Story
Richie and I met through mutual friends 8 years ago. I was dating someone else at the time, but Richie and I just clicked, and right from the beginning it felt like more than a friendship, so I ended my relationship. A couple of weeks later Richie sent me an 18th Birthday card, I rang to thank him and he asked me out, and we haven’t looked back since.
Some time later we were on holiday skiing with friends in Soldeu in Andorra. It was our last night away and as we were walking to a bar to meet up with our friends Rich stopped me so that we could look at the stars. As we stood gazing up at the clear night sky with the snowy mountains in the background, he proposed, though he took some coaxing to get down on one knee!
We spent 18 months preparing for the wedding. I loved every minute of the build up to the day. I was a bit like Monica from friends! with a wedding file for all my ideas, dress pictures etc and a note book! Only the last few months were stressful, especially as my dress was delayed in transit, and didn’t arrived until 2 weeks before the wedding day!
We had a traditional Christian church wedding in our Parish church of St John the Evangelist in Liverpool and our reception was in the Princess Royal Stand at Aintree Racecourse. It was fantastic! The reception room overlooked the racecourse, the sun was shinning and although the night flew by, I thought every minute was wonderful.
