How and when did you meet?

We met through some friends and he just so happened to live around the corner from me!

How old are you both?

I am 24 and Dave is 25.

Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?

We were about to go out to a barbecue and he popped the question. Nothing really romantic!

Did you have hen and stag celebrations?

I went to London for the day with close family and had a fantastic time. I also went out in Leamington Spa for drinks and a nice meal. Dave went bowling and then out in Leamington for drinks.

Did your groom help you with the wedding planning?

Dave helped me throughout all of the planing. We tried to make most of the decisions together.

Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?

No.

Do you have a confetti web page?

No.

Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?

We bought our personalised chocolate favours from confetti and they were fantastic.

Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it.

My dress was white with silver embroidery and diamonte on the bodice. It was made by Mon Cheri. It was bought from Eternal Bride in Warwick.

Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?

I had three bridesmaids, my best friend and two cousins. They wore strapless dresses which were in claret.

Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?

His best man was his best friend and the ushers were brothers of the bride and groom.

Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?

A lovely religious ceremony.

Where did you hold your ceremony?

St Mary’s Church in Cubbington.

Where did you hold your reception?

The Woodhouse Hotel in Princethorpe.

Did you have any special wedding transport?

We had a Rolls Royce convertible which we needed as it was so hot!

How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?

100 to the day and an additional 30 in the evening.

Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?

Our colour theme was claret and silver.

How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?

Each table had a small posy of flowers in claret. We also had a table decoration for the top table.

Did you give your guests favours?

Yes – personalised chocolates.

Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?

My bouquet was made up of red roses, ivory roses, orchids and hypericum berries. The Bridesmaids had red roses and ivory roses. We used Fiori who were wonderful. I even got my own rose to keep as a momento which was a lovely gesture.

What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?

Homemade vegetable Soup, roast local turkey with potatoes and vegetables, profiteroles or apple strudel, coffee and chocolates

What did you choose for your wedding cake?

We had a three tier fruit cake.

Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?

A disco in the evening although most people stayed outside all night as it was so hot!!

Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?

No – we asked for money towards our honeymoon.

Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?

We spent our first night at the hotel. We then travelled down to Stanstead on Monday and stayed at the Hilton before catching our flight to Austria on Tuesday morning. We stayed in the lakes and mountains for 5 nights and then Salzburg for 2 nights at Hotel Sacher (it was very nice).

What was your most memorable moment of the day?

Walking down the aisle and saying my vows. It was such a perfect day and one that will never be forgotten.

Did you experience any ‘nightmare’ moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?

My dressmaker hadn’t adjusted the straps on my dress properly and they kept falling down. I made sure it didn’t ruin my day though!

Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?

Check everything is as you asked for it beforehand.
