How old were you both when you got engaged?

I was 21 and he was 41

Who proposed?

Mark proposed to me on holiday

How did your partner (or you) propose?

We were on holiday in the Maldives and Mark had spent the lead up to the holiday telling me how he wasn’t ready to get married etc to throw me off (and it worked!) So on the second to last day of our holiday he booked us a romantic candle lit dinner on the beach in a secluded spot. Just after sunset Mark told me how much he had loved the holiday then he said, “There is one thing that could be better” as he pulled the ring out of his pocket and asked me to marry him. I was so shocked and just looked at him, giggled, and of course said yes!

Who did you share the news of your engagement with first?

After the proposal i was grinning like a cheshire cat and Mark said, “Wouldnt it be amazing if you could ring your mum right now?” and he pulled out the mobile and said,”Call her. She would love to know.” So, it was my mum.

It is a white gold band with nine dimonds in the formation of a dimond

Did you help choose the ring?

On the island there was a jewelry shop and he pointed out what he thought I might like, and I agreed. Although he made the decision.

When do you plan to marry?

The wedding rehearsal and making everything perfect!
