Gill and Andy Real Engagement Story

After 3 days of knowing Andy he had already asked me to marry him. I had accepted but afterwards he kept saying he wanted to do it in a more romantic way. So on 13th February we jumped on a plane to Edinburgh and stayed at the famous Balmoral Hotel.

I knew he was going to propose to me on the 14th as the week before I had chosen the ring. I woke up on the 14th with such excitement…I kept saying to him yes! yes! and then we would fall about laughing as he hadn’t actually asked me yet!

The day was absolutely beautiful and I kept thinking to myself that he would probably propose at the castle…oops I was wrong…we hiked up to the very top of the Scots monument. We were alone and I felt him tug on my jacket as I turned around. Andy was down on one knee! We were both emotional I couldn’t stop smiling, "Gill you have made me the happiest man alive and I have been on cloud nine ever since. I want you to want for nothing I want to be with you every minute of the day. Please accept this ring and agree to marry me."

Guess what I said….hee hee. I had a tear trickle down my cheek. I was, and still am the happiest female alive!
