How to Throw a Fairground Wedding
If having fun is your favourite thing to do, then you’ll love these fabulous fairground weddings. Two sensational celebrations with entertainment for all the family, cheery bright colours, and all the fun of the fair.
Vikki and Ben’s Fairground Wedding
Vikki and Ben Bishop got married in in St Mary’s Church, Michelmersh in Hampshire on 12th September 2015. Their wedding was a combination of vintage fairground and handmade, with the theme being simply fun!
Vikki told us, “We contacted a few fairgrounds and decided on Irvin Leisure, a well known company who run fairgrounds all over, including Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. We had a carousel, coconut shy, hoopla, cork shooter and high striker. The aim was to entertain both adults and children alike.”

These gorgeous real weddings show just how amazing it is to have a vintage carousel or full scale circus tent, but you don’t have to turn your whole day into a fairground complete with helter skelter and candyfloss. You can add in little touches of the funfair with a dressing up photo booth, vintage ice cream bicycle hire or giant outdoor games. With colourful decor, vintage fairground style bunting and an emphasis on fun, you can have a fabulous wedding with a fairground look and feel.
Lucy and Adam’s Wedding
Lucy and Adam King tied the knot on 1st September 2012 at St Peter’s Church, Caversham and held their reception at River’s Health Club in Reading. Lucy described their wedding theme as ‘vintage meets circus meets festival’.
The fun can be seen in the photos, from the large illuminated lettering spelling it out to the looks on their faces inside the circus tent.
