Jane and Robin Real Engagement Story
Robin and I met in April of 2003 in Bury, near Manchester. We’d both grown up in the same place but had never bumped into each other although he did look familiar! We clicked immediately, and I think fate played a big part in that day as I wasn’t even supposed to be in Manchester – I was living in Yorkshire at the time. We went on our first proper date two days later and have been together ever since!
We bought our first home together in July 2004 and are living happily ever after! In February this year it was my 30 birthday so we wanted to do something special. I’d always dreamed of going to Canada, so we booked a holiday there. We went snowboarding, sleigh riding, dog sledding and snow mobiling. It really was the holiday of a lifetime and we didn’t want to come home. On our last day we had arranged to take the Banff gondola (cable car) up to the snow capped Sulphur Mountain which is 8,000 ft up with a 360 degree panoramic view of the Rockie mountains. It gave us the the most breathtaking sites we had ever seen, and when we were right at the top, Robin got down on one knee and proposed with the most stunning engagement ring. It was absolutely perfect. It was the most fantastic holiday we have ever had, and of course, the final day made it our holiday of a lifetime. We are planning to get married in March 2006.
