Louise and Jeff Real Engagement Story

Jeff and I have known each other since 1995, when we used to be pen pals. We initially wrote to each other because of our love of the Beatles.
We wrote to each other for 2 years before we met on 20th July 1997, which I hasten to add was a blind date, as although we wrote to each other, we did not know what each other looked like.

I fell in love with Jeff the day I met him, although I think Jeff took a little bit longer (maybe a week or two!!!) to fall in love with me. Jeff lived in the Midlands, and I lived in London, so I used to commute each weekend.
It was heart breaking leaving him behind every Sunday night. Jeff asked me to spend a week with him, so I did, and on the last day 27th May 1998, he wanted me to go for a walk with him, so I did.

We found ourselves on top of this mini fell (large hill!) that had brilliant views, and it was nearing dusk, all of a sudden Jeff got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was so beautiful – and I said “YES OF COURSE YOU SILLY SAUSAGE!” But I think that was just nerves talking!
We did plan to get married last August, sent invitations out, bought my dress, but I became ill, so we had to cancel everything. We have now set another date for next year 16th November 2002; we arranged it on Valentines Day this year.

I know it’s a long way off but I’m getting so excited about it all. We’re having a lovely winter wedding and jetting off to Australia and Bali for our honeymoon.
