I was 23 and Gordon was 20

Gordon‐ complete surprise!

How did your partner (or you) propose?

For our Christmas present,Gordon’s mum had arranged to pay for a weekend away for us. Little did I know that Gordon had arranged with his mum to book it for the weekend of my birthday! We stayed at a beautiful hotel and leisure club in Fort William, Scotland near one of my favourite places in the world! I woke up the next morning (my birthday) and we got ready for the day. Gordon took me to the skiing range nearby and we took a trip up to the top of the mountain. When we got back down to the car below Ben Nevis he got down on one knee and produced a beautiful ring and asked me to marry him! I immediately said “of course!” We then spent the rest of the weekend with great big smiles plastered on our faces!

Gordon’s mum as she knew all about it.

Describe your ring.

It’s a white gold band which twists around itself with 3 diamonds sitting diagonal from each other.

Did you help choose the ring?

No‐ all his own work!

Will your partner wear an engagement ring as well?

No

Did you have an engagement party?

Yes of course! 2 in fact!

If so, where was it held?

1st one was held at Gordon’s mum’s. The 2nd one was held at my mum and dads

How many people were invited?

About 15 at both
