How and when did you meet?

We met in a cheesy local night club at halloween when Matt was dressed up as a skeleton.

How old are you both?

I’m 25 and Matt is 30.

Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?

He took me to one of my favourite restaurants nearly a year after we met and asked me over dinner.

Did you have hen and stag celebrations? If so, what did you do?

I had a hen night at a greek taverna with a few close friends and some family.

How did your groom help with the wedding planning?

He didn’t really! He came to visit venues with me and we shopped for rings together but that was about it.

Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?

Yes I used the to do list a lot and also the budget planner and the seating planner.

Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?

I bought the choclate trivia and some table cameras online.

Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it

I wore a dress by White Rose Bridal bought from Yours Truly in Maidstone. It had quite a long train on it and the chiffon layer over the top was gathered to one side and had lots of beads and sequins on. I also wore a very sparkly tiara and veil from the same shop and got my shoes from ebay.

Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?

No.

Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?

We didn’t have a best man or ushers but Matt hired a suit from Moss Bros.

Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?

Civil.

Where did you hold your ceremony?

Brandshatch Place Hotel.

Where did you hold your reception?

Brandshatch Place Hotel.

Did you have any special wedding transport?

No, we stayed at the venue the night before.

How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?

We had 21 close friends and immediate family to the day. We didn’t have a separate evening reception although we did have a family party at my parents’ the following weekend.

Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?

We didn’t have a theme but the colours were gold and ivory with a little dark pink mixed in.

How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?

We had the napkins tied with gold organza ribbon, the favour boxes had little pink paper roses on top, we had ivory table cameras and the table centres were cream tulips.

Did you give your guests favours?

Yes, chocolate trivia.

Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?

My bouquet was silk and made with roses in three different shades of pink. The table centres we did our selves and were square glass vases with cream tulips in and tea lights .

What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?

We used the venue’s catering. We had leek and potato soup, roast lamb with some posh potatoes and strawberry shortcake with strawberries and cream for pudding.

What did you choose for your wedding cake, and who made it?

We had a 2 tiered M&S cake which we decorated with a cake topper from my florist which matched my bouquet.

Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?

We only used our ipod for music. The day was very relaxed and more like a large dinner party.

Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?

No, we asked for money and vouchers.

Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?

We stayed at the hotel for the first night and went on honeymoon to Cuba a week later.

What was your most memorable moment of the day?

Waiting to go into the ceremony room.

Did you experience any ‘nightmare’ moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?

Nope, everything went perfectly.

Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?

Don’t worry about nerves, you don’t have time on the day to be nervous! Just enjoy and the little things really don’t matter in the end.
