How and when did you meet?
Well we first met at a local pub we were introduced my Jonathan’s friend and the first thing he did was offer to buy my a drink and then spill it all over my brand new bag we laugh now that he thought that was going to be the first and last date lol

Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?
Well my nanny was very ill in hospital at the time with terminal cancer so hubby wanted to be able to propose in order for her to be able to be here so on 3rd November 2006 he proposed in my bedroom and my parents house but it was very romantic
Did you have hen and stag celebrations? If so, what did you do?
Yes I had just close family and friends to my hen night we went for a lovely meal and into Norwich City centre where we got VIP treatment in some clubs with some complimentary bubbly it was a really fun night! The Groom went to the local pub and into the city centre to some bars with his stags.
How did your groom help with the wedding planning?
Jonathan like most men was pretty easy going to be honest he let me decide most things i would just check in with him on certain things and he would be like ‘yes i like that better’ but to be honest me and my mum did most of the planning and of course most of the girls on confetti helped too 🙂
Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?
Yes i used the forum all the while it was lovely to be able to talk to fellow brides about the ups and sometimes downs of wedding planning and being able to share tips and hints was so helpfull i think ill always be on confetti trying to help other brides! lol!
Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it
I brought my dress from Dreams Bridal in Norwich I tried on a few different styles and shapes but as soon as i tried mine on i knew it was the one it was very flattering to my shape and it was VERY sparkly and i love all my sparkles so fell in love with it!
Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?
I had 5 bridesmaids. My Husband is from a big family so it was really hard picking out our bridal party so we decided to pick one family member from each side so I had my cousin chantelle and Jonathan had his Neice Kaila then i had my two friends Melanie and Gemma and Gemmas 2 year old daughter lillie-grace
Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?
Jonathan chose his dad as his best man as he has 8 brothers so picking one would of been difficult but as soon as he thought about his best man he knew he wanted his dad because his dad has always been like his best friend and it was really lovely having him as such an important part in our day. We also had my brother Gavin as the Usher suprising he actually turned up on time which i was abit worried about as he is not the best time keeper!
Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?
We had a religious Ceremony in a lovely little Church in Thorpe St Andrews along the river

Did you have any special wedding transport?
My wedding transport for me was one of the most special parts of the day I thought I was having a rolls royce car and thought no different when the car arrived and we went outside the front of my parents house for pictures. The next thing i heard clip clop coming down the street considering we live in a city this is something that we never hear and i saw this beautiful horse and carriae come up the road i turned to my dad and said ‘thats not for me’ and he replies ‘I dont know anyone else getting married today’ I broke down crying it was such an amazing suprise and something I have always dreamed of having a cinderella haha
How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?
we had about 70 people to the day time which was just immediate family and to the evening we had an extra 60 guests.
Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?
My colour scheme for Red and Ivory
How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?
My favour bags wre red the menus were ivory and red the place cards were ivory and red. we had ivory and red baloons and red and ivory confetti on the tables
Did you give your guests favours?
Yes we gave the traditional sugared almonds to the adults and for the children I did them all their own individual favour bags with their names on with little jelly eggs in them so they looked like their parents but were obvioulsy suitable for the children.
Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?
Our florist was constance webster in thorpe st andrews norwich and i could not recommend them more the flowers were amazing! Just how i dreamt! The lady went out of her way shutting her shop so she could give you her individual attention and looking through books with us she really wanted to do the best she could for us!
What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?
The venue did the catering and the food was amazing we had a 3 course sit down meal and everyone was commenting how lovely the food was!
What did you choose for your wedding cake, and who made it?
We had a 4 tier stacked wedding cake with red roses around the tiers. we decided to have 3 different flavours so everyone would be able to hopefully have a slice so we had fruit cake which is what the groom wanted and my favourite cake is carrot cake so we had a tier of that and then we had a tier of sponge also.
Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?
Yes we had a DJ and also a massive chocolate fountain which i thought mostly the kids would enjoy but actually everyone seemed to love it!
Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?
We didnt have a gift list but our friends and family were very kind and mostly gave us money and gift vouchers
Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?
we spent the first night staying at the venue then my mum and dad picked us up from the hotel the next morning to whisk us away to the airport where we went to Tunisia for 1 week it was a lovely relaxing holiday and the weather was lovely.
What was your most memorable moment of the day?
Definatly the horse and carriage but just seeing all our family and friends together was lovely everyone was happy and seemed to be having a lovely day
Did you experience any “nightmare” moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?
we had a couple of moments with the suits coming in wrong sizes and having to go back several times until they were ready but the biggest nightmare was 3 days before the wedding my seamstress broke her wrist and was unable to do the alterations too my dress so my dress was a couple of inches too long still with my 2″ heels so I had to go out and buy 4″ heels but obviosuly a few days before I couldnt really get bridal shoes so I ended up going out and buying bright pink shoes!
Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?
Nothing my day was perfect and just would love to do it again it was definatly the most amazing day of my life!
