How and when did you meet?

Many years ago, we played badminton together, but didn’t get together till 2003 in Venice.

How old are you both?

I’m 41and he’s 46.

Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?

He proposed at my house on one knee, with a bunch of red roses and a home cooked meal.
I didn’t give him an answer there and then, but at a cabaret club on New Years Eve. I had it announced by the DJ in front of 200 people!

Did you have hen and stag celebrations?

Yes, we all went to the Grange Hotel in Thornton Hough on the Wirral

Did your groom help you with the wedding planning?

In so many ways I could not list them all.

Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?

It had so much information which gave us great choice

Do you have a confetti web page?

No

Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?

Yes, I bought online.

Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it.

I bought my wedding dress in Chester.

Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?

My three bridesmaids wore long lavender colour dresses with small trains. The two flowergirls wore cream and carried baskets of confetti.

Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?

Larry Adams tailors in West Kirby were brilliant. The suits looked great. They wore cravats and tails, they looked so handsome

Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?

We had a  religious ceremony in a small church in Thurstaston.

Where did you hold your ceremony?

St Bartholomew’s in Thurstaston, Wirral.

Where did you hold your reception?

The Kinglands Cabaret club in Birkenhead and they made us all feel so special.

Did you have any special wedding transport?

We had a Horse and carriage and a full stretch Limo.

How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?

We had 200 plus.

Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?

We had a traditional and old fashioned.

How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?

We had candles on mirror tiles with star nuggets around them. There were star confetti on the tables, star cameras and favour boxes and silver garlands of stars twisted in glasses on the table.

Did you give your guests favours?

Little bells on a card that said "ring if you want a kiss" almonds.

Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?

It was a friend of a friend. My bouquet was wonderful plum with white carnations and roses.

What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?

The venue handled the catering, which was a buffet hot meal with meat and salmon.

What did you choose for your wedding cake?

The wedding cake was a replica of our church we got in married in.

Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?

We had a Scottish piper at the church and live band and disco for the evening

Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?

With Marks & Spencers.

Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?

We spent first night in the Village Hotel, Bromborough then flew to Thailand. We booked with Travel world in West Kirby, Wirral

What was your most memorable moment of the day?

There are so many!

Did you experience any ‘nightmare’ moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?

The photographer let us down a week before the wedding.

Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?

Try to remember that it’s your wedding, not everyone else’s. Try and take time out to enjoy the day as time will fly by.
