Follow our guide to find the perfect wedding day reading
If you have chosen to have a religious wedding ceremony, you will probably already know lots about the Bible and will be aware that the New Testament is a collection of 27 books that form the second of the two‐part Christian Bible and are all about the life and teachings of Jesus, the letters of the Apostle called Paul and other disciples.
Whether you regularly go to church or heard bits from the Bible at school, you’ll be surprised how many readings from the New Testament you recognize, because they are often well known and are a popular choice for many church wedding ceremonies.
Finding a Bible reading is easy once you know how. All you have to do is look them up by book, chapter and verse (for example Matthew.5, 1‐10 would refer to the book of Matthew, chapter 5, verses 1 ‐10).
