Chateau Rhianfa: Fairy Tale Castle Wedding Venue
This spectacular fairy tale castle on the banks of the Menai Strait has breath-taking views over the Welsh Snowdonia mountain range. An exclusive-use wedding venue where you can have both your ceremony and reception all under the same stunning roof; you could even fly in by helicopter if you wish.
Fairy Tale Castle
The beautiful French inspired Chateau was built in 1849 by Sir John Hay Williams, as a gift of love for his wife, Lady Sarah. Today it is an historic boutique hotel with everything you could want for, and a choice of different wedding packages and seasonal offers throughout the year to make it more affordable than you might at first think.
At Chateau Rhianfa there is a choice of function rooms, each one offering an elegant setting for your wedding breakfast: The Terrace, with its uninterrupted views over the water and the awe-inspiring Snowdonia mountain range, the Drawing Room, The Music Room or the splendid Banqueting Hall.
Tailor-Made Wedding
This is a venue that lets you create your own unique wedding experience and helps you realise your dreams, whether it’s arriving by helicopter, marrying outside under the pretty garden pagoda, including the spectacle of champagne sabrage (opening a bottle of bubbly with a sword!) or dancing under the stars. At Château Rhianfa you can let your imagination run wild; this is a place where everything is possible.
Luxurious Bedrooms and Suites
The luxurious bridal suite has a gorgeous free standing bath tub overlooking the Menai Strait. There are a further thirty guest bedrooms in total, to accommodate up to sixty guests, including rooms in Rhianfa Lodge.
Bespoke Wedding Breakfast Menu
The award-winning restaurant, Le Dragon Rouge is where exceptional culinary experiences are served up in a romantic setting with wines to match, handpicked from the vintage racks in the atmospheric wine caves below. The wedding breakfast menus can be tailor-made to your taste and requirements and you are invited to meet the chef and sample the food, most of which is made from local ingredients, to create a menu that’s personal to you.
The Surrounding Landscape
Snowdonia is a place of natural beauty. The landscapes and stunning mountain-edged coastline offer something for everyone from adrenaline-lovers to sight-seeing enthusiasts to gentle ramblers.
The Snowdonia National Park is an enchanting wonderland in itself and you can go up Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales, on foot or by the famous Snowdonia Mountain Railway. A must for the incredible views across the beautiful Welsh countryside and a wedding, honeymoon or break to remember forever.
