How to choose your trims

Use trims in the right way and you can get a great look for your table planners, place cards, favour boxes and bags, or your create‐your‐own stationery, and we have a huge selection of trims in exclusive designs and in a huge array of colours and styles for you… but what should you choose?

Here’s some suggestions of what to use when:

RIBBON
Use soft, satin or chiffon ribbon to trim invitations, place cards, favours boxes, napkins, table decorations, or even your cake.

JEWELS
You could stick these on invitations, orders of service, menus, place cards and favour boxes for the perfect finishing touch. Think about sprinkling them on the table too!

BUTTERFLIES
Our feather, glitter butterflies are perfect for adding to place cards, favour boxes, napkins, bouquets or floral displays. For example, you could pin them into your bouquet, or even in your hair!

FEATHERS
These delicate marabou feathers are really glam. Scatter them on your tables or attach them to your place cards.

How to attach your trims

There’s no need to end up head‐to‐toe in glue and sellotape because no matter what you want to stick your trims to, all you need to do is use didi glue dots(for the smaller diamante or crystal trims) and mini gluedots for bigger trims.

These are double‐sided, sticky dots which will stick to all kinds of materials ‐ with no mess – which makes them perfect for attaching smaller trims to cards, boxes and place cards.

And if you have a whole line of trims to stick? Use a glue line!

If you are trying to attach a small, fiddly trim, use a pair of tweezers. And don’t forget to cut the end of ribbons on an angle or use pinking shears to stop them from fraying and make them look posh!

Ribbon for FAVOUR BOXES

To tie ribbon around a regular‐sized favour box, you will need:

To wrap ribbon across all four sides of the box and finish with a small bow = 52cms of ribbon per box

To wrap ribbon across all four sides of the box and finish with a big bow = 75cm per box

To wrap ribbon across all four sides of the box and finish with a small bow knot on the top = 35‐40cm per box

Ribbon for CAMERAS

To tie ribbon around a camera, you will need:

To wrap ribbon across all four sides of the box and finish with a small bow knot on the top = 57cm per camera

Ribbon for NAPKINS

To tie ribbon around a napkin, you will need:

For ribbon and a knot on a rolled napkin = 40cm per napkin
For a ribbon and bow on a flat, folded napkin = 76cm per napkin
