May the 4th be with you! Read on to find a galaxy of beautiful Star Wars wedding ideas that are perfect for an elegant Star Wars inspired celebration. You’ve seen these breathtaking fairytale wedding ideas and now, from picturesque villas by the Italian lakes to incredible light displays, here are some of the best Star Wars wedding ideas. Drop everything, because you’ll want to see this!
Setting
Setting plays an enormous part in your big day—that’s why choosing the perfect wedding venue can be such a big task—but since you can’t travel to a galaxy far, far away for your Star Wars wedding, where can you go to capture some of its magic? Star Wars is renowned for its fantastic settings and visuals, and perhaps none are more full of romantic, natural beauty than the planet of Naboo. In Episode II: Attack of the Clones, the scenes for this gorgeous location were filmed at Lake Como, Lombardy, Italy.

Alternatively, if you’re more of a woodland lover, find inspiration in Return of the Jedi’s planet of Endor with its dense, towering forests. A lot of the scenes from Endor were filmed among the enormous redwood forests in the “Tall Trees Redwood Grove” in the Redwood National & State Park, Humboldt County, Northern California.

You could even go full winter-wedding with a snowy, Hoth-style location.

Wedding Ceremony and Reception
One of the simplest ways to introduce Star Wars into your wedding is to offer cameo/special guest appearances from your favourite characters. R2D2 in a bow tie? Stormtrooper escorts? Epic.

When it comes to the decor across the tables and around the room, the key to some of the most beautful Star Wars weddings is to avoid oversaturation—i.e. don’t throw everything Star Wars at it. While this can be done well for a full-on Star Wars wedding theme, if you’re looking for a more elegant Star Wars inspired wedding it might not turn out as you want.
We love the idea of using motifs, like the Jedi or Rebel symbols, across things like stationery or on napkins. And have you seen the gorgeous Death Star inspired lamp below? That would look incredible in a dark room in the centre of a reception table. You can create some wonderful decorations by selecting key little details, like the clone trooper helmet used as a table centrepiece below that somehow manages to look chic when surrounded by beautiful florals.

Other lovely decor additions include backdrops personalised with crossed lightsabers, “Pick a side, not a family” signs, and custom aisle runners made in the style of the iconic Star Wars opening crawl.

If you have the means and money, look to the stars to create your stylish Star Wars inspired wedding. Options include incredible light displays, fibre optic table runners, and themed fire pits. Furthermore, can you imagine the effect if you had a ceiling full of lights and a couple of walls of mirrors?

But if you don’t have money to burn then there are still trusty star projectors, DIY projects with glowsticks, and lots and lots of fairy lights.
Furthermore, you could give a very easy yet subtle nod to a favourite character through your colour scheme (like blue and white for R2D2).
